My Favourite Things
I discovered this little perfumery while visiting a good friend who lives a few minutes away from Cowichan Bay in British Colombia.
My oldest daughter and I were treated like queens when we entered their tiny shop and apothecary. What friendly, kind and talented women. We ended up talking "shop" when I shared that I also have an apothecary in Edmonton, Alberta. T
Wild Coast Perfumery traditionally blend their perfume recipes with love and intention, using only pure, plant-based, precious essential oils and absolutes from around the world, along with tinctures from gently, sustainably harvested needles, leaves, flowers, buds, lichen, and moss from Vancouver Island forests and their personal island garden. The outcome is beautiful, all-natural and wild scents that will blend with your body chemistry and become your own gorgeous, unique scent.

Our favourites:

The Colombian
Coffee and Roastery
This sweet local business now has five cafe locations here in Edmonton! My favourites are the French Quarter and Forest Heights locations.

For snacks, I recommend the jalapeno cheddar & corn muffins, the ham and cheese croissants, and their avocado toast.

Their staff are always excellent, super friendly and offer great service. This is a study and work-friendly business. They will even bring you a lovely glass of cucumber-infused water if you have been there a little while.

Bonus- they are a super ethically based company.

My only complaint- the seats are hard on the arse, and the Millcreek location does not have much seating for thicker people like myself. I could not even squeeze into the banquette tables.
